Glacier National Park: Scenic Raft Trip
Our Flathead river rafting scenic tour gives you the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the spectacular beauty of Glacier National Park and the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. Aboard this 2-3 hour float trip an experienced guide will share interpretive information about the flora and fauna and history of the area while escorting you down one of the most pristine rivers in the world. Wildlife abounds on this stretch; you may see eagles, osprey, deer and maybe even an elusive bear or moose!
The trip starts with a short 5 minute bus ride down to the put in at West Glacier. Guides will give a safety talk and help everyone get loaded in the raft.
From there you will pass through a steep, walled canyon and admire stunning views of Glacier National Park. There is lots of opportunities to take pictures so feel free to bring a camera. Arrive at the path where the Middle and North Forks of the Flathead River converge to form the southern tip of Glacier National Park. Your guide will take the raft out of the water just past the confluence, at Blankenship Bridge. From there, it’s about a 15-minute bus ride back to the office where you can look at pictures.
